About CBA | Carey Baptist Association

Who are we?

Carey Baptist Association is a Family of 30 Churches partnering together to do missions and ministry together in Clay County, Alabama. Working together we can do more as a Family of Churches than we can as individual congregations. We also partner with the Alabama Baptist State Board of Missions and the Southern Baptist Convention.

Our Staff

Rev. Richard (Richie) Farrow

Associational Director of Missions

Richie was called to serve in June 2024. Prior to that, he served as a pastor for 31 years in 3 SBC churches: Mt. Olive (13), High Pine (9), Olive Branch (8). He is a graduate of Auburn University and Covington Theological Seminary. He is married to his wife of 37 years, Donna, and they have 3 adult children and 3 grandchildren.

Donna Farrow

Ministry Assistant

Donna is the wife of a pastor, the mother of three adult children and grandmother of three. She has been married to Richie since 1987 and has served Carey Association since 2007. Donna is also the Coordinator of our Carey Baptist Thrift Store.

Claressa Askew

Thrift Store Clerk

Claressa is married to her husband Brian. They have 2 growing boys. She also drives a school bus and has served since 2014 at the Carey Baptist Thrift Store. She is a member at Millerville Baptist Church.

Courtney Chapman

Assistant Thrift Store Clerk

Courtney is married to Jacoby Chapman and the mother of two teenagers. She has served the Carey Baptist Association since 2024. She is a member at Oak Chapel Baptist Church.
